WHAT THE FAKA?

Mission

To serve up island deliciousness, mixed up with a modern approach that has yet to be seen. Faka’s is about taking culture and using what we can, while adding our part to the story. This isn’t your traditional island food, and tbh we like it that way. We make our own rules and create our own lane.

Goals

To lay down a foundation for others to look at and be inspired from. We don’t invent most of the things that we do, but learn from others before us. We try to broaden the horizon to show people what’s possible when you think outside of the box.

Try Faka’s for lunch or dinner today to see what we mean!

OUR ISLAND FOOD HISTORY

In 2014, David Pese entered a Shark Tank-style business plan competition at his college. He took first place and used the $5,000 seed money to buy the bare essentials for his business. The company started out catering and booking jobs from Craigslist and then signing up to be vendors at local community events. The beginning was rough and a lot of lessons were learned, but the company kept pushing and the word spread about the food. From night markets to concerts to festivals, the movement has continued to grow. Our first location was in Covina, starting as a pop-up restaurant. We are now located in 4th Street Market, in Downtown Santa Ana. Serving delicious Hawaiian BBQ for lunch & dinner. Look for the big pink wall with the awesome Faka’s workin the front!
